How Prime Opinion works

Prime Opinion is run by Prime Opinion AB in Stockholm and describes itself as a product of Prime Insights AB, its parent company. Prime Insights was founded in 2022 and was bought by the Swedish tech and gaming group Aonic in September 2025 for $250m. Prime Insights' other survey apps include Five Surveys, Hey Cash and Top Surveys, and by its own figures Prime Opinion delivered 30% of the group's completed surveys in 2025. The current Prime Opinion site has been online since at least March 2023.

You sign up with an email address, or with Google, Facebook or Apple, and see a list of surveys showing how long each takes and what it pays. Prime Opinion may ask a few qualifying questions first, then sends you to the survey and pays you when you are redirected back. Its terms also cover product, app and website tests, and reviewers describe games and sign-up offers alongside the surveys.

There are sites for 71 countries, in local languages, plus iOS and Android apps. The privacy policy says the service is for adults aged 18 and over, and the terms allow one account per person.

What you can earn

Prime Opinion pays in points that you redeem for cash or gift cards; in DollarBreak's test, 70 points were worth $0.70. Its homepage says you can earn up to $5 per survey and that the average user earned $11 the day before, and its FAQ suggests 30 to 60 minutes a day for some extra spending money, not a full-time income. Its claim to pay 150% more than other sites for the same surveys is its own, and we could not verify it.

Being screened out is where the pay drops. App Store reviewers describe screen-outs paying 1 to 3 cents, and a recent Trustpilot reviewer complains of screeners that take as long as a survey before turning people away. Prime Opinion's own tips: do not rush, answer honestly, avoid answering "I don't want to answer", which usually screens you out, and write detailed free-text answers.

Offers and games pay separately, and they draw complaints of their own. Reviewers describe offers that ended early or never credited, and Prime Opinion's replies say offer partners can take up to three business days to confirm and may ask for screenshots. Its terms allow it to request proof that a task was completed.

Cashing out

This is Prime Opinion's strongest point. In the US, its rewards list starts at $1 for Venmo, Cash App, Revolut and bank transfer, and $5 for PayPal, with over 320 rewards in all, including gift cards, virtual Visa cards and donations. Its FAQ says withdrawals are processed immediately and credited within a few hours, and the terms allow several payouts a day.

The minimum also depends on your welcome bonus. When you sign up you choose a regular bonus, which you can withdraw after a few surveys, or a bigger one that comes with a minimum withdrawal amount. The terms let Prime Opinion set the minimum balance, as communicated at sign-up.

The rules that apply to every payout:

• Prime Opinion can require an identity or existence check before any payout, which may involve biometric data, and can hold payouts until you pass it.
• Payouts go to the details saved in your account, so keep them up to date.
• Using a VPN, proxy or other masked connection breaches the terms, and taking surveys outside your country of residence can be treated as fraud.
• You are not paid for tasks with untrue or impermissible answers, or if you materially breach the terms.
• You are responsible for any tax on what you earn.

Inactive accounts

Prime Opinion's terms treat an account as inactive after six months without a login. Before deleting it, Prime Opinion will try to email you and give you four weeks to respond. If your account is closed with a balance above the minimum, you can ask for it to be paid out within 30 business days. Logging in now and then is enough to keep the account.

Is Prime Opinion legit?

Yes. Prime Opinion is run by a registered Swedish company, its parent was bought by Aonic in 2025, and members do get paid, often within hours.

On Trustpilot, Prime Opinion scores 3.8 from 22,972 reviews. It pays for a Trustpilot subscription, asks members for reviews, and has replied to 99% of negative ones. Of the 2,234 reviews in the last 12 months, 47% gave 5 stars and 33% gave 1 star. The positive ones praise quick, reliable payouts and plenty of surveys; the negative ones are about screen-outs, long screeners, offers that did not credit, and account checks. Trustpilot also shows a gambling-law notice on the profile; some reward options, such as Acebet, are casino credit.

The apps score higher: 4.7 on the US App Store from about 48,000 ratings, and 4.5 on Google Play from over 265,000 reviews.

Our read: Prime Opinion is one of the easiest survey apps to cash out from, with low minimums, fast payouts and wide country coverage. Expect modest pay per survey and some screen-outs, stick to surveys rather than chasing offers, and have ID ready in case a payout needs a check.

How to get the most out of Prime Opinion

• Choose the regular welcome bonus if you want to withdraw quickly.
• Cash out small amounts often; in the US, from $1 to Venmo, Cash App or a bank account.
• Answer screening questions honestly and avoid "I don't want to answer", which usually screens you out.
