Branded Surveys Review 2026: $5 Cash Outs, Elite Bonuses, and Dynata Ownership

Facts checked October 10, 2026

Branded Surveys is a solid survey-only site with a $5 cash out, quick payout approval and a loyalty programme that genuinely rewards regular members with weekly bonuses. It has been owned by research giant Dynata since 2022. Expect the usual survey-site friction, plus two rules worth knowing before you start: completed surveys can be rejected and their points removed for up to two weeks, and you may be asked for photo ID and a selfie when you cash out.

We may earn a referral reward if you join through our links. It never changes a rating or a ranking.

How Branded Surveys works

Branded Surveys started in 2012 as the panel of Branded Research Inc. In June 2022 market research firm Dynata bought Branded Research, and the current terms of service describe Branded Surveys as a panel "owned and operated by Dynata, LLC". The site and app still carry the Branded name.

You sign up, fill in profile surveys about your work, travel, leisure and more, and Branded matches you to surveys from market research clients. Each survey shows its length and points before you start; most take 5 to 20 minutes, and 100 points is worth $1. A Daily Poll adds 5 points, though Branded says you need to take real surveys to stay an active member. Its homepage also offers apps, games and product offers alongside surveys.

Branded is unusually frank about earnings: it says surveys do not replace a full-time income and that members can expect $5 to $100 a month, depending on how much they take part and how many surveys are available.

Branded Elite: the weekly bonus

The loyalty programme is Branded's best feature for regular members. Your monthly survey count sets your badge for the next month:

  • Bronze: 2 completed surveys in a calendar month.
  • Silver: 10 completed surveys in a calendar month.
  • Gold: 25 completed surveys in a calendar month.

Badge holders then earn a weekly bonus on their approved survey points: 5%, 10% or 15% for 12 surveys in a week (Bronze, Silver, Gold), 12% or 17% for 20 surveys, and 14% or 19% for 30 surveys. Bonuses are paid on Sundays for the previous week, and only surveys that pass the partner's quality review count. A separate weekly leaderboard pays 100 points for first place down to 3 points for places 26 to 100.

Not a match, full surveys and rejected points

Branded pre-qualifies you from your profile, but you can still be told you are "not a match" when a partner's exact criteria are not met. A survey can also close because it reached its participant limit. If that happens after you have spent more than 5 minutes in it, Branded asks you to report it so it can compensate you.

Points for a completed survey appear right away, but every complete still goes through the research partner's quality review. If the partner rejects it, the points are taken back off your balance. Branded's stated reasons are unclear open-ended answers, inconsistent responses, answering too fast, and failing obvious quality questions (its example: answering "purple" when asked what two colours a zebra is). Partners do not share the exact reason.

Two protections help. Branded does not let partners reject points more than two weeks after completion, and it says it monitors partners' rejection rates. If a completed survey was not credited at all, use the Report Issue tool on your My Points page within 24 hours, or email customerservice@gobranded.com with the survey name and points.

Cashing out

Once you have 500 approved points ($5), the Redeem Points button appears. You can choose PayPal or gift cards, including Amazon and grocery cards delivered by email; US members can also take a bank transfer through Plaid or donate to charity. Payouts are sent in your local currency, with conversion rates updated on the first Thursday of each month.

Approval normally takes 1 to 2 business days, and Silver and Gold members are approved instantly. Branded does not process payouts at weekends or on holidays, and bank transfers still depend on your bank's processing time after approval.

Security checks are part of every payout:

  • Every redemption needs a 4-digit code texted to your mobile, so you need a working mobile number on the account.
  • Several recent reviewers were asked for photo ID and a selfie when they first redeemed, and some lost points when the automated check rejected their document.
  • You must be in the US, Canada or the UK to redeem, not just to sign up.

On points expiry, Branded's help centre says points never expire, while the Dynata terms it links to say points expire one year after posting or can be forfeited for inactivity. Cash out regularly and the question never arises. US members who redeem $2,000 or more in a year should expect a W-9 request.

The referral programme

Invite friends with your personal link and you both earn bonus points when your friend reaches their first Silver or Gold badge, meaning 10 or 25 completed surveys in a month. Branded says your friend can earn up to 500 bonus points, and your own bonus depends on your badge status. The bonus is paid as soon as your friend upgrades.

Is Branded Surveys legit?

Yes. It has paid out since 2012, says it has paid members over $90 million, and is now part of Dynata, one of the largest research data companies. It holds 4.2 out of 5 from 123,977 Trustpilot reviews, and Trustpilot notes that Branded invites members to review it, and its Android app holds 4.4 stars from about 15,000 reviews.

Recent 1- and 2-star reviews repeat a few complaints: being asked for photo ID and a selfie at redemption without warning, accounts flagged for "inconsistent answers" soon after joining, surveys rejected weeks after completion, offers that were not credited in full, and long surveys that would not submit at the end. Branded replies to most of them and points to its Report Issue tool.

How to get the most out of Branded Surveys

  • Complete every profile survey; it is how Branded routes surveys to you.
  • Aim for 10 surveys a month to hold Silver, which gives instant payout approval and bigger weekly bonuses.
  • Batch your surveys into weeks where you can reach 12, 20 or 30 for the weekly bonus tiers.
  • Answer consistently with your profile and read every question; rejected points come off your balance.
  • Report any survey that closes after 5 minutes, or that does not credit, within 24 hours.
  • Keep a working mobile number on your account and have photo ID ready for your first cash out.
  • Cash out as soon as you reach $5 or a little more, rather than letting points sit.
